Don Graham and Ron Oxenham won the day in the men’s Wednesday bowls against Dave Wilson and Jack Charlton. The final score was 29 to 6.
That is two weeks in a row that the winners have had big wins. There must be something special coming out of those taps in the bar, or it just might be ability.
Runners-up were Jack Collard and Bill Meharg who won against Ray Gersbach and Rob Harvey with another big score, 26 to 6.
Other scores on the day Ian Humphries and Bob Wilson defeated Keith O’Grady and Mick Buttworth 23 to 15, Don Graham, Mo Clare and Allen Manning defeated Pat Cassidy and Ted Roberts 15 to 14, Norm Johnson and Kevin Stanley defeated Charlie Morley, 25 to 16. The raffle winner was Mick Buttworth.
Friday night the raffle and the member’s draw were conducted, the badge draw was not won. Next week it will jackpot to $560.
The Mixed Pairs, Triples, and Fours draw is on the board. We have a few teams nominated for the pairs but we do need more so please get your teams together.
The draw for the men’s fours will be done Wednesday after bowls. The Fours will start the following week.
If you want to learn bowls, come along today at 1pm.
The boys are at the club and are willing to teach you. The club has new bowls for you to use.
New bowls members are most welcome, whether you are experienced bowler or would like to learn the game.

There was no play in women’s bowls last Thursday but one gaem of Pairs championship was played on Saturday.
Winners were Eveline Kohler and Nancy Jackson who defeated Leanne Irwin and Sue Manning.
Pairs Thursday: Rose Davis and Judy Roberts play Deralle Maxfield and Dot Heath.
